Join with me on my training mission!
The work that I am undertaking through MTS in 2010/2011 is unique in that it cannot be done without the support of others, who will share with me the vision of Gospel ministry on campus.
Here are some practical ways in which you can support me:
Firstly, I invite you to support me in prayer. Without the strength and guidance of God, I have quickly found – and I am constantly reminded – that I can do nothing without Him. So I would ask you to pray.
Prayer
In personal prayer support
- Pray for my personal growth as a disciple of Christ
- Pray that I might be constantly reminded of all of God’s grace in my life, especially the blessing it is to be a ministry apprentice
- Pray for the ministry I will be undertaking, that I might be enthusiastic and always have my sights on the end goal of my work, as a tool for the salvation of people on campus.
- Pray for my trainer Mikey as he instructs me, both in personal holiness and in proclaiming the Word.
- Pray for those I will be in contact with, both Christian and non-Christian, that they might be receptive to God and his Word.
In University Fellowship of Christians prayer support
- Pray for Mikey as he begins his leadership of the Fellowship
- Pray for current Christian students, that they might not lose sight of the Gospel’s calling, and the mission on campus.
- Pray for new Christian and non-Christian students, that they might be interested to take a part in the Fellowship, and that we might be inviting and hospitable to them
- Pray for the staff and their ministries, that they might continue to strive for excellence in serving God, for His glory.
Financially
Secondly, I am also in need of your financial support. A part of my training and an integral part of the MTS philosophy is giving the apprentice the responsibility of raising their own wage, by way of support from the church community. For me, this means $22,000 for each of the two years I will be working full time on campus. It seems like a big goal, and it is. So I would urge you to also support me financially. I do believe that partnering in the gospel is most effective when it is a personal, two-way process, so I am always keen to meet with those involved in my support, so you can enjoy the blessings of being co-workers with me. Send me an email or call me, I would be delighted to meet with you.
You can visit my AFES support page to contribute toward my ministry, with their neato digital online form.
Alternatively, you can send me an email, letter, or give me a call, and I can post you out a support form, where you can return it to AFES with your details.
